<p>Are you getting ready for the Superbowl? I know that around here seeing the Cincinnati Bengals in the Superbowl is a pretty big deal and as someone who lives in a Capital City without a pro-Football team this is about as close as I’ll get to being in the thick of it!!!&nbsp;</p>



<p>The Superbowl this year might feel like a double whammy to your waistline because it’s immediately followed by Valentine’s Day. You’ve likely already determined that Sunday and Monday are days to indulge and if that’s the case, that’s OK! We’ll have a plan to detox Tuesday and shed some of that bloat.&nbsp;</p>



<p>But for now, let’s grab a few recipes that will keep the bloating to a minimum …&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="philly-cheese-steak-sliders"><strong>Philly Cheese Steak Sliders</strong></h2>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading" id="ingredients-1"><strong>Ingredients</strong></h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>2 tsp. olive oil</li><li>1 medium onion, sliced</li><li>1 medium green (or red) bell pepper, sliced</li><li>8 oz. sliced mushrooms</li><li>1 Tbsp. fresh oregano, finely chopped (or 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves) Sea salt (or Himalayan salt) and ground black pepper (to taste; optional) 8 oz. raw lean beef sirloin, sliced very thin</li><li>1⁄4 cup sliced banana (or cherry) peppers (optional)</li><li>2 oz. provolone cheese, thinly sliced</li><li>4 small whole-wheat rolls, split, toasted</li></ul>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading" id="instructions-1"><strong>Instructions</strong></h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Heat oil in large nonstick skillet (or griddle) over medium-high heat.</li><li>Add onion and bell pepper; cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes, or until onions are soft. Add mushrooms and oregano. Season with salt and pepper if desired; cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes, or until mushrooms are soft.</li><li>Add sirloin; cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 4 minutes, or until beef is cooked through.Top evenly with banana peppers (if desired) and cheese. Remove from heat; cover and let stand for 1 to 2 minutes, or until cheese is melted.</li><li>Top buns evenly with meat mixture; serve immediately.</li></ul>



<p>Makes 4 servings.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="sweet-potato-skins-with-turkey-bacon-and-tomatoes"><strong>Sweet Potato Skins With Turkey Bacon and Tomatoes</strong></h2>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading" id="ingredients"><strong>Ingredients</strong></h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>4 baked medium sweet potatoes cut in half 1 tsp. olive oil</li><li>1⁄2 tsp. sea salt (or Himalayan salt)</li><li>1⁄2 cup reduced-fat (2%) plain Greek yogurt 2 slices cooked turkey bacon chopped</li><li>2 medium tomatoes chopped</li><li>8 green onions thinly sliced</li></ul>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading" id="instructions"><strong>Instructions</strong></h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Heat oven to 400° F.  </li><li>Scoop flesh out of sweet potatoes and reserve for another use. </li><li>Place skins on a baking sheet. Brush with oil and sprinkle with salt. </li><li>Bake for 10 minutes, or until crisp. </li><li>Top each sweet potato half evenly with yogurt, turkey bacon, tomato, and green onions.</li></ul>

<p>When I travel I just take a shaker cup and the individual packages to make sure I&#8217;m maintain my routine even when out of town but when I&#8217;m home&#8230;that&#8217;s when we amp up the flavor! </p>

<p><span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>My Go To EVERYDAY Superfoods Milkshake: </b></span></p>
<p>I keep it simple and delicious:</p>

<li>8 ounces water</li>
<li>6 ounces unsweetened coconut milk</li>
<li>1/2 a frozen banana (critical for consistency)</li>
<li>Big scoop of ice</li>
<li>Tbsp of Organic Creamy Peanut Butter</li>
<li>Dash of Himalayan Salt</li>
<li>1 heaping scoop of Shakeology (my favorite flavors are Cookies &amp; Creamy, Chocolate, Caramel Machiatto, well I guess all of them!)</li>
</ul>

</ul>
<p>Blend and serve! </p>
<p>To make it extra special I add a little whipped cream to the bottom of my cup, pour my shake in and then add a little whip on top &#8211; voila! </p>
